These were the first words from our Winner of the Mighty
Mini competition which we held in our March Newsletter and came from Michelle
Dalby who won two tickets to the first race of the season at Silverstone.
Michelle HSEQ Manager for Monks Crane, West Midlands also said “We enjoyed the
day, it opened up areas that I believe are not usually available to
the general public, we were able to go into the pit lane, into the garages and
up onto the top part of the building to look down on the main start/finish line
& straight.
Parking was close by so that was also nice as Silverstone is
a large place to get around. We drove around all areas and were able to stop
off and watch from a number of different areas that are usually out of bounds.
It was interesting to be able to walk around the garage area
and see how the different car clubs worked & which ones obviously had more
money than others as some were outside with a van and others were inside with
all the kit you could think of and big car trailers & camper vans galore.
The pit lane was great for getting some close up shots and
looking down on the start line was really impressive also.
It was also a day of celebrity as Emmerdale star Kelvin
Fletcher (Andy Sugden) was there (I think this was because his brother was
racing in the super mini’s), which my mum loved being a huge Emmerdale fan.
As a massive mini fan anyway it was great to see them racing at
Silverstone”
The next Mighty Mini race is to be held at Branch Hatch
Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th May. Sorry we don’t have
any free tickets for this race but you can buy tickets on the gate, so if you
fancy a lovely day out why not visit the next race. CRS will be running another
competition again shortly so keep a look out in further issues of our e
Newsletter.
