Colinton Primary School's 150 pupils have been evacuated
to Oxgangs Primary School as a precaution.
The incident happened at 11:00 yesterday (Friday), and
parents were asked to pick their children up at lunchtime from Oxgangs Primary
School.
An Edinburgh City Council spokeswoman pointed out that
primary school pupils finish between 12.05 and 12:25 on a Friday in the
capital.
She said: "Due to a gas leak at Colinton Primary
School pupils have been moved to Oxgangs Primary School as a precaution and
parents should collect their children from the school at the normal time."
