CORPORATE RISK SYSTEMS PRESENT THE NVQ CANDITATE OF THE YEAR AWARD 2012

CRS held a re-launch of the NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Practice at Silverstone. The event was well attended, and Jackie Holder-Wooloff a Senior CRS NVQ Assessor and mentor gave an engaging presentation to an audience of delegates from organisations across the Midlands and beyond. But on one special guest was there for a different reason Mr Dave Johnston having completed the NVQ Diploma was awarded  the ‘CRS NVQ Candidate of the year 2012’, The award was presented by Rebecca  Hollamby,  Business Manager for City & Guilds. Every year CRS like to reward the candidate who has achieved the best results for the year, and nominations are made by CRS Assessors. Dave was full time PCS trade union national health and safety officer within a Home Office Law Enforcement Department. Dave said “originally I was concerned that taking the NVQ Diploma would encroach too much on my working day, but as it turned out the work and I was doing on a day to day basis was just the type of evidence I needed for my portfolio, so it really was no effort just remembering to put to one side useful documents that could be used. As a result of the qualification I was successful in a promotion process and I am now a Health and Safety Advisor for the same Home Office organisation”. To see Dave collect his award was his wife Valerie and two sons David & Jack.
Could you be our next year’s NVQ Diploma winner?
